After playing Super Mario 64 and earning 120 power [[star]]s, the grate on the sand that was previously sealed opens to reveal a cannon. Firing [[Mario]] to the roof of the Castle results in talking to Yoshi (on the roof), who will give Mario 99 [[1-Up Mushroom|1-Up]]s, and an enhanced triple jump. Also up there is a [[Wing Cap]]. Roof is an Area Four location and the very roof of the mansion in Luigi's Mansion and its remake. It is entered by taking an elevator in the Clockwork Room. The key to the Armory and the entrance to the Sealed Room can be found here. A bonfire in the center that spawns Fire Elemental Ghosts that are used to defeat the Flashes. The final battle against King Boo in the Bowser suit takes place on the Roof, but with the edges engulfed in flames.

The Roof is the largest room, exceeding the length of even the 3F Balcony. Besides the Graveyard, the Roof is one of the only rooms where Luigi can touch Fire Elemental Ghost at full size.
