Softnica, formely known as Pax Softnica, is a Japanese video game and software developer founded in August 1983. The company had a strong relationship with Nintendo and was considered second-party.[1] It was hired as a sub-contractor for several Nintendo-developed games, such as the first two installments of the EarthBound (Mother) series and several handheld releases.
