I'd be happy to help when I have the time. Though for now I can also share the method i use most of the time. Track Studio (made for MK8/DX) can open TTYD models, and if you switch the shading to Diffuse and hide the pieces that aren't normally in their idle pose, you get a good render of their default pose. Then just go into settings, check "Save screenshot alpha," and then click the screenshot button (a camera). You may have to resize the resulting image to match the native size of the textures, but overall this is quicker and more efficient than manually piecing together every sprite. It's how i got the examples for the later TTYD rips I've done. Some of the example poses I used on earlier rips though I kinda had some fun with the posing so those probably shouldn't be used. The user simply made a friend request dating back to 2016. They did not falsely claim to be their friend, just asking if they can become friends. Like Technetium said, it's up to the receiver to decide if they want to become friends with them or not. | |||

Edit conflicts[edit]
Hang on, please be very careful when editing the sound test notes for the TTYD remake, I was trying to edit Chapter 7 when I was hit with an edit conflict from your side that I was not notified about. If you can, try to contact me in the Super Mario Wiki Discord server to communicate potential instances of edit conflicts. (As a side note, I mainly use the Discord for communication on editing the wiki, so talkpage responses are not guaranteed, but this is not by any means discouraging you from leaving messages on my talkpage or responding to me.) --EleCyon (talk) 10:16, July 10, 2024 (EDT)
- Oh sorry, I wasn't aware you were also editing at the same time. I'll be sure to talk to you on Discord if I edit the page in the future (I don't have anything else to add there for now). --Technetium (talk) 10:19, July 10, 2024 (EDT)
Re: TTYD Remake Character Sprites[edit]
I talked about it a bit here. Basically, the game uses "skeletal pattern" and "texture pattern" animations for its characters. Skeletal ones pose the individual parts and move them to make the animations, and texture patterns determine which of the character's sprites are visible. But the thing is that I don't think the people who assembled the full characters for Spriters Resource used the skeletal patterns as reference: compare the assembly of Bub-ulb to a screenshot of its default animation in a model viewer, and you can notice the positions of things like the flower and the eyes being off. I've been able to confirm that geometricentric and DogToon64's are incorrect, but I think fawfulthegreat64's are okay considering they have a good reputation in the community and are experienced with how the PM games work internally. Scrooge200 (talk) 17:18, July 11, 2024 (EDT)
- Thanks for the info. Luckily, most of the sprites I uploaded were from fawfulthegreat64, so it wasn't a complete waste of time. --Technetium (talk) 17:22, July 11, 2024 (EDT)
Re: List of tattles in TTYD NS article[edit]
Hi, I have all the tattles and Tattle Log entries listed in User:Scrooge200/Sandbox (I'd recommend bringing them over from there because it includes all the text differences, I ripped it directly from the remake). I was wondering if the tattles needed to go there because they'd also be listed on the bestiary, so that might seem a bit redundant.
For base TTYD and 64, I'm less experienced with text rips from there, so I'm not sure I could do full lists for those, but I agree that they should be made. Scrooge200 (talk) 19:48, July 23, 2024 (EDT)
TTYDNS Trouble Center hints[edit]
Hey, if you need the Trouble Center hints, I ripped them all from the game's files and put them here. Scrooge200 (talk) 18:30, August 9, 2024 (EDT)
Re: TTYDNS Merluvlee Predictions[edit]
Yeah, I was able to get them here. Scrooge200 (talk) 15:17, August 11, 2024 (EDT)
- Everything I posted there is all the text from the game, I double checked and there really is none for the Red Key. Curiously, the numerical order of the hints does skip a few numbers, so they may have removed some in development. Scrooge200 (talk)
04:54, August 13, 2024 (EDT)
- Curiously, that's the only one without a hint: the numbers skip from 34 (the one in cabin 5) to 36 (at Riverside Station). I'm guessing it was removed for some reason? Scrooge200 (talk)

On Citations[edit]
I know it's not always realistic, but the earliest instance is generally prioritized. So for example, the original GameCube version of The Thousand-Year Door would be better to cite for the languages it was released in, then the remake would be good to cite for newer translations. Usually the exception would be if there's a source that came later that now uses furigana, like the Super Mario RPG remake, or if the remake renames something (we can assume in most cases it doesn't), in which both names should be listed. (Also, The Mushroom Kingdom should be replaced when it's just textual.) LinkTheLefty (talk) 16:33, August 26, 2024 (EDT)

About Ten and Shun[edit]
To answer your question Technitium, when I was looking through the Brothership gallery, I found out that their names are indeed Ten and Shun. Response to the response that you gave me in Talk:List of implied characters[edit]
Overview[edit]
Daisy's father appeared in a manga, and Wario's parents' limbs appeared in another manga (alright maybe I was wrong on that one). Okusan (K. Rool's wife) is shown in the 4koma Gag Battle and the 4koma Manga Kingdom. Peach's mother appeared quite a lot (but her STUPID FATHER appeared WAY more). Mogera Kong appeared in something a Noki was holding. And Rosalina's mother's face appeared (except for her eyes, though).
Gallery[edit]
Spiralia[edit]
You erase real information in vain, the character is called Espiranza in Spanish (NOA).
The deleted video that I added when it was still visible was from a gameplay of the game, since it was leaked and therefore you can now know the names of all the characters in their respective languages.

- If you look at the top of the talk page for SMBW, you'll see a message in a green box about how there shouldn't be any forum talk. This rule goes for all talk pages, even if the notice isn't present - so forum talk is also not allowed for the Super Mario franchise page. Asking about what levels people dislike, for instance, counts as forum talk. I suggest reading the notice on the SMBW talk page for more info. Also, I knew it was TV Tropes because "Greater-Scope Villain" is capitalized. Feel free to make an account over there, but forum talk isn't allowed on Mario Wiki talk pages even if you make a wiki account. Technetium (talk) 17:48, November 7, 2024 (EST)

- Thank you! It's pretty funny seeing the WikiLove template I made being used on me first, lol. Wasn't expecting to do all these minor edits when I made it last night, though! Technetium (talk) 12:15, December 27, 2024 (EST)
Proposal appreciated[edit]

Koops is proud of you for coming out of your shell! Your voice is important! |
I'm glad you found a better solution to the recipe pages than the PM recipe list template. I didn't like how they looked, so I wanted to make a uniform template. But since the community agrees those templates didn't work out, I'm appreciative that a different consistent standard is being proposed instead. Super Mario RPG (talk) 09:01, January 1, 2025 (EST)
- Thank you, and happy New Year! Technetium (talk) 09:29, January 1, 2025 (EST)
Re: Recipes[edit]
Thanks for letting me know. I'll refrain from making any additional changes for the time being and follow along with that proposal. Green Star

Luigi says you're a winner! Great job on your edits! |
First of all, I'm glad you came up with a better plan for the recipe pages than I had and that you're working hard on it. Secondly, how was that recipe infobox just hiding on this wiki all this time? It's the strangest thing. Super Mario RPG (talk) 10:42, January 11, 2025 (EST)

Talk page comment[edit]
I apologize if I broke policy. I do not like unsolicited friendship requests on my talk page, which are incredibly irritating for people like me. What I'm trying to say is that I had good intentions when removing that comment. Super Mario RPG (talk) 08:43, January 15, 2025 (EST)
- It's understandable if you don't like them, but others may feel differently. Anyway, as long as you don't do it again you're all good. Technetium (talk) 08:50, January 15, 2025 (EST)
- (Edit conflict) I'm not Technetium but I re-added that comment in the first place because according to the courtesy policy:
The only comments you are allowed to remove are flames and acts of vandalism, and the only times you are allowed to alter another user's comment is to fix broken coding or replace a custom signature with {{user}}
on pages that enforce the no-signature policy.
The user simply made a friend request dating back to 2016. They did not falsely claim to be their friend, just asking if they can become friends. Like Technetium said, it's up to the receiver to decide if they want to become friends with them or not.
I know you had good intentions. If this was an example of being "fake friends" with that user, then it would be a different situation. Sparks (talk)

- @Technetium I may create a proposal to allow unsolicited comments like that to be removed, but only by the user who receives them. Super Mario RPG (talk) 08:57, January 15, 2025 (EST)
Shroom City Snifit expression game[edit]
Good thing I uploaded video proof on YouTube. (By request of myself, through my dad.) https://youtube.com/watch?v=HpsIiWgawDM -PuffballOfficial
- Feel free to re-edit the page with this as a reference, then. Technetium (talk) 15:47, January 19, 2025 (EST)

On Spirit information for Individual Tiki pages[edit]
Hi. Um so it would probably be easier to say "In Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, Cordian is part of the Tiki Tak Tribe spirit, which includes all of the members who hypnotise bosses in Donkey Kong Country Returns." for each Tiki's page instead of going into the full stats and battle. I think this duplicates less information across the articles. Just a suggestion. Salmancer (talk) 16:49, January 28, 2025 (EST)
- Thanks for the suggestion! I'll keep that in mind (and then we can go into full spirit info on the Tiki Tak Tribe page). Technetium (talk) 17:09, January 28, 2025 (EST)
RE: "how should we organize these within sections?"[edit]
I organized them in order they are seen first in the game. But with other lists it really depends. Rykitu
