Hello! I recently uploaded some of the Mario Party Jamboree character icons and they were removed by you for being “blurry and upscaled.” While I appreciate your efforts to provide the most quality screenshots of the character icons, I can assure you I did not upscale the icons. I did however, remove the background of the icons, and place a white square in the background of the icons, to remove any of the excess teal background, and to make the icons look much cleaner. The white square in the background is unnoticeable and I think works as placeholders for the icons until the game is released. I’m sorry again if I come off as rude. Hey there, noted. However, the tracks for 'Puzzle Hustle', 'Banana, Split', and 'Senseless Census' are official and are in the sound test of the game.
As for 'Dust Buddies', that one was already on the page even though it's not an official title or in the sound test, but it is a variation of 'Iced Out', which IS in the sound test. I will redo my edits for the former three but 'Dust Buddies' is up to you if you think it's valid or not (and if not, the track section should be removed altogether not just my edit).

So, I have been doing another run of RPGs, this time finding every item found on field and given by NPCs (per suggestion by the user Zootalo). I have completed SMRPG (original and remake) and added everything to my sandbox. After a discussion with Nightwicked Bowser, we came to the conclusion to edit the template Template:RPG item locations to include screenshots of the exact locations of the items. Problem is I don't know how to change the template properly so it won't break and it will show up on different pages differently.

Thanks again for the info but I wanted to make a thing clear. I believe those text boxes are meant to show the name of the characters and not just them shouting their names. It happed before with Monty Moles in volumes 1 and 31, and Rocky Wrench in volume 30 and maybe 45. The writers probably did it to help introduce these characters much easier (since the target demographic is mainly children). Either way I think the name said should be used as the name for the page at least. Also for the Mogera Kong page can you give the not translated name for when I add it and. And also was the Noki talking about those posters that had Mogera Kong being made up movie posters or something? All the "citation needed" stuff I have added is only for descriptions as the exact wording is less important until the game comes out. All of them are things we know for sure what they do because we saw them in action in videos or mentioned in articles from hands on reviews (from sources I have cited). I added them so people don't have to infer what they do just from the name or combo alone, they have no context of all the hands on reviews or even different language Overview Trailer I have seen because most people don't check for sources. In fact, I tried to mimic the wording used by the ones we have seen so if there were mistakes, the wording wouldn't be completely different, I got Auto Syrup Jar's description spot on and immediately added the source to it at the same time. Another reason I did it is because mimicing the wording may cause people not to notice it is wrong immediately even after the game comes out. If I couldn't edit then, as the descriptions are a lower priority than gameplay, story, and maybe even images because the effort is just copying the text from items and tooltips, who would know to correct them without the tag pointing out they may not be completely accurate? But I get it, it is "speculation" after all, as long as it is not completely accurate, there is no point in informing wiki users of at least the basics of the facts. I am sorry I have overused citation needed for those purposes.

The Spanish Challenge section would probably have "You need X more" text for the "Coordinated Jump/Hammer Ace" at some point, but they are already completed in the source video so it doesn't show. That's the only part that is "speculation" as other Challenges all use that wording except the "X damage in one attack" ones, yet you removed the whole thing including the word-for-word text in Spanish which is taken directly from the source and the translation. Have you checked the source before removing them?

Hello, back from my 1 month block for serious vandalism. I was just wondering for a week...why is it so good to be concise and straight-to-the-point without using too many words? It would be nice if I could know.
The only thing I disagree with is 1-Up DX removal, I have seen it worded like it somewhere before and it is changed from the other games where it is 1-Up Deluxe but I couldn't find it. About the Oshibo I misspelled it on MontyMoleLore's talk page: I meant "Oseibo", the packed lunch that is usually offered to the dead, but it's also used like a normal Bento.
 
About the "liberties", it's for the full context of their dialogue: Mario menace to squash the Piranha Plant, but the Plant has clearly the upper hand, uses his word against him and, to add insult to injury, also sprays him with a bug spray. It's more an adaptation than a translation, basically.
 
About "Hinote", that's just my fault: I normally use a site to copy-paste a scanned word. The first time I checked (when I used a scan of the entire page) "Hinote" (Fire Hand) is what came out and I used that Romanization on the volume page. Then, when I rechecked to copy-paste the word in Japanese letters (this time using just the panel) on the transformation page, it translated as "Fireball", but I thought it was a second translation, I didn't consider the possibility that the first time the site didn't fully get the last letter (which it was very similar to the actual last letter, so I wasn't doubtful), so I used the wrong Romanization. I'll try to avoid such mistakes, in the future.

I emailed the mwikisysop thingy but I haven't heard back yet. While poking around to see stuff about Cappy Throw I stumbled upon something that said "Resorted to offensive language via email" for March 1st? I can't remember when I sent the email, but it wasn't offensive, and I am not Cappy Throw.

Issued reminder for Mario Party Jamboree Character Icosns[edit]

Hello! I recently uploaded some of the Mario Party Jamboree character icons and they were removed by you for being “blurry and upscaled.” While I appreciate your efforts to provide the most quality screenshots of the character icons, I can assure you I did not upscale the icons. I did however, remove the background of the icons, and place a white square in the background of the icons, to remove any of the excess teal background, and to make the icons look much cleaner. The white square in the background is unnoticeable and I think works as placeholders for the icons until the game is released. I’m sorry again if I come off as rude. Mario Party Tracks[edit]

Hey there, noted. However, the tracks for 'Puzzle Hustle', 'Banana, Split', and 'Senseless Census' are official and are in the sound test of the game. As for 'Dust Buddies', that one was already on the page even though it's not an official title or in the sound test, but it is a variation of 'Iced Out', which IS in the sound test. I will redo my edits for the former three but 'Dust Buddies' is up to you if you think it's valid or not (and if not, the track section should be removed altogether not just my edit).

Help with the template.[edit]

So, I have been doing another run of RPGs, this time finding every item found on field and given by NPCs (per suggestion by the user Zootalo). I have completed SMRPG (original and remake) and added everything to my sandbox. After a discussion with Nightwicked Bowser, we came to the conclusion to edit the template Template:RPG item locations to include screenshots of the exact locations of the items. Problem is I don't know how to change the template properly so it won't break and it will show up on different pages differently.

For example: On Mario Bros. House page, in the Paper Mario section is the one item - Autograph and PM doesnt have remake (yet), so the table created by the template would gain one section named Screenshot. BUT On let's say the page Stardust Fields, the table with items would get two sections - Screenshot and Screenshot (Remake).

Re:Referencing[edit]

I have been citing my sources.[1][2][3] Including the subject-specific pages[4], I made that page as well. If you want all of the boots, hammer, wear, and gloves each has a source, I will add them.

All the "citation needed" stuff I have added is only for descriptions as the exact wording is less important until the game comes out. All of them are things we know for sure what they do because we saw them in action in videos or mentioned in articles from hands on reviews (from sources I have cited). I added them so people don't have to infer what they do just from the name or combo alone, they have no context of all the hands on reviews or even different language Overview Trailer I have seen because most people don't check for sources. In fact, I tried to mimic the wording used by the ones we have seen so if there were mistakes, the wording wouldn't be completely different, I got Auto Syrup Jar's description spot on and immediately added the source to it at the same time. Another reason I did it is because mimicing the wording may cause people not to notice it is wrong immediately even after the game comes out. If I couldn't edit then, as the descriptions are a lower priority than gameplay, story, and maybe even images because the effort is just copying the text from items and tooltips, who would know to correct them without the tag pointing out they may not be completely accurate? But I get it, it is "speculation" after all, as long as it is not completely accurate, there is no point in informing wiki users of at least the basics of the facts. I am sorry I have overused citation needed for those purposes.

The Spanish Challenge section would probably have "You need X more" text for the "Coordinated Jump/Hammer Ace" at some point, but they are already completed in the source video so it doesn't show. That's the only part that is "speculation" as other Challenges all use that wording except the "X damage in one attack" ones, yet you removed the whole thing including the word-for-word text in Spanish which is taken directly from the source and the translation. Have you checked the source before removing them?

I am sorry I added the width to the name of the Red/Green Shell Ace, I was copying and pasting <br/> between all the Spanish and translation and didn't check I have the wrong thing in the clipboard as I was experimenting with the look of the table. And for the red link image, you have seen I didn't add all the red link images I could because I thought the source had obtained those badges but they didn't, so I didn't comment those two. I will remove/make them hidden them next time.

The only thing I disagree with is 1-Up DX removal, I have seen it worded like it somewhere before and it is changed from the other games where it is 1-Up Deluxe but I couldn't find it. Guess asking other wiki contributors for help to find a citation is not enough, now we need to have a justification for "citation needed" itself before it can be used. By the way, here is the source I already added to the page, and one just for you with a timestamp as well, thanks for the motivation.[5]
