Mob Sleds is a 1-vs.-Rivals minigame featured in Mario Party 9. The name is a pun on "bobsleds." This minigame acts as the opposite of Ruins Rumble, where the team players control sleds while the solo player evades the team players.
Introduction[edit]
Starting at the leftmost rival, the camera moves to show each rival. It then zooms out to show the entire field.
Gameplay[edit]
The solo player tries to avoid being hit by the rivals as they hunt the solo player down in Cooligan sleds. The rivals have to stay along the tracks, while the solo player can move freely. The sleds go as fast as the solo player and change direction if they make a head-on collision with another sled. When the player plays with two rivals, the track is different from when playing with three. If the solo player survives for the entire 30 seconds, they are victorious. If any of the rivals run over the solo player within 30 seconds, the rivals are victorious.
This minigame is also available in Perspective Mode, and it is the final minigame unlocked, as well as the only 1-vs.-Rivals minigame in Perspective Mode. The player is automatically the solo player, and they must avoid the other three players for 30 seconds. The camera view is changed, so that it is near the player.
In-game text[edit]
