When the player decides to stop here, they will meet Bowser and his cohort, Koopa Kid. Their quest, Boss Bowser, involves the player in a card game, where they must guess if the face-down card on the right is higher or lower than the number on the card on the left. They must do this three times, with the right card being used as the new left card each time. After that, he'll challenge them to the Bowser mini-game, Koopa Kappa. If the player succeeds at defeating the set number of Koopa Kids, Bowser will reward them with two Gaddgets, Faux Flame and Hourglass.

Bowser's throne is also largely purple, with blue accents and a red cushion. At the center of the hideout is a green table with a deck of cards on it. One of Bowser's quests, Boss Bowser, starts here once Bowser challenges the player to a card game. The card game is played on the aforementioned table and involves the player guessing if the next card is either higher or lower than the one currently drawn. If beaten, Bowser then challenges the player to the Bowser minigame Koopa Kappa, and succeeding at the minigame awards the player with two Gaddgets: Faux Flame and Hourglass.
