Four Koopa Troopas open their treasure chests. A pile of coins fly into the chest farthest to the left. The chests close and the Koopas will get into their shells and shuffle around.
The minigame and its title is based on the {{wp|shell game|identically titled game}}. ==Gameplay==
The player tries to keep track of the Koopa Troopa with the Coins. The player is able to [[punch]], [[Ground Pound|hip-drop]], and [[jump]], but none of the actions affect gameplay.
The object of this mini-game is to watch the [[Koopa Troopa]] with the [[Treasure Chest]] and pick the same one after the [[Koopa Shell|shells]] have shuffled. There are a total of four Koopa Troopas, each one identical to each other. If the player picks the wrong Koopa Troopa, five [[coin]]s are lost as a result from losing the mini-game. The game rewards the player ten coins if the mini-game is won.


==Ending==
At the end, if the player chooses the correct Koopa Shell, they do their winning pose as the Coins are rewarded to them. If not, the Koopa with the Coins opens its Treasure Chest and has them fall off the tower, with the player character appearing disappointed and even losing five Coins afterward.
If the player picks the right shell, the coins fly toward them and they do a winning pose. If not, the correct Koopa will open its chest with the coins falling off of the tower. The player slumps in disappointment.
 
Shell Game costs 200 Coins to buy at the [[Mini-Game House]] when it becomes available.

Shell Game is a 1-Player minigame found in Mario Party.

Overview[edit]

The minigame and its title is based on the identically titled game. The minigame opens with a brief sequence of four Koopa Troopas opening their Treasure Chests and ten Coins entering one of them.[1] The Chests close, and the Koopa Troopas then each shuffle around with their Treasure Chest in their shell.
