Shell Game is a 1-Player minigame found in Mario Party.
Overview[edit]
The minigame and its title is based on the identically titled game. The minigame opens with a brief sequence of four Koopa Troopas opening their Treasure Chests and ten Coins entering one of them.[1] The Chests close, and the Koopa Troopas then each shuffle around with their Treasure Chest in their shell.
The player tries to keep track of the Koopa Troopa with the Coins. The player is able to punch, hip-drop, and jump, but none of the actions affect gameplay.
At the end, if the player chooses the correct Koopa Shell, they do their winning pose as the Coins are rewarded to them. If not, the Koopa with the Coins opens its Treasure Chest and has them fall off the tower, with the player character appearing disappointed and even losing five Coins afterward.
Shell Game costs 200 Coins to buy at the Mini-Game House when it becomes available.
