To make it a template, you should type {{subst:nosubst|User:Catjedi/sig}} in the signature box on your preferences. That way, if your change your signature page, the signature on talk pages will also change with it. Those large images from before haven't changed on my talk page, even though you have changed your signature images to appropriate sizes. It's just something that is recommended.
