Gameplay[edit]
In this event, the player controls the entire girls team and competes against three other teams consisting of blue, yellow and green Shy Guys. The event is split into four rounds, one for each girl, with the same controls being used for each. The player must use the circle pad to steer and stay on the ideal line shown on the ground, which will cause the horse to move fastest when it is traveling along it. The longer the player remains on the line, the faster their Horse will go, with the maximum speed being indicated by white lines coming off the character and horse. When the player approaches a jump, they must either tilt the system in towards them or press the A Button to jump over it. Depending on their timing, the player will get a speed boost when the horse lands, the size of which is decided by their timing. Perfect timing grants the greatest boost, great timing offers a smaller one and good the smallest, with bad timing causing the horse to either knock down the fence or go straight through the water obstacle, and awarding the player a four second penalty. The number of fences successfully cleared is displayed in the top left hand corner of the screen for the duration of the event. For the first round, the player controls Amy and must jump over two fences, followed by Peach in the second round with a single water jump, Blaze in the third with three fences and finally Daisy in the fourth round with the final three fences.
Controls[edit]
Hold the system horizontally!
1) Move: Move the Circle Pad left/right.
2) Jump: Tilt the system in or press A.
In Local Play, controls are split between the jockey and horse.
