It introduces [[Bubble Dayzee]]s and [[Wobble Rock]]s as stage hazards while introducing [[Goonie]]s that drop [[Shy Guy]]s. The level's theme and backgrounds progress from being on the ground, to higher in the sky, to space. The level makes use of jumping on flying enemies to reach collectibles. This level's playable [[Yoshi (species)|Yoshi]] is the Purple Yoshi.
Yoshi starts the level in a cloudy area with some enemies and little cloud platforms, along with a pipe. This area starts off with a [[Middle Ring]] followed by some enemies, tilting platforms, and a pipe which leads to an area with [[Super Yoshi (form)|Super Yoshi]] gameplay and a pipe. It leads to some more clouds, enemies, and the [[goal roulette]].

Bubble Dayzees can then be found on rocks; another Winged Cloud is found which gives the level's second Smiley Flower. After a large Wobble Rock with coins around, a [[Warp Pipe]] takes Purple Yoshi to the next area.

Cruise the Clouds is the fifth level of World 5 found in Yoshi's New Island. It introduces Bubble Dayzees and Wobble Rocks as stage hazards while introducing Goonies that drop Shy Guys.
