Level 1-2 is the second level of Mario Toy Company in Mario vs. Donkey Kong and its remake. The high score for this level in the original version is 28000. In the Nintendo Switch remake, the target time for this level's Time Attack is 38.00.
Overview[edit]
In the GBA version only, the level opens with a cinematic showing Mario grabbing a hammer and using it to defeat two Shy Guys.
The player starts under some ladders; above the first is a Help Box explaining how to enter Free Scroll Mode (in the Nintendo Switch remake, the Help Box instead explains how a Color Switch works). At the top of the ladders are two Shy Guys and a hammer, along with the red and blue Color Switches. By having the red switch activated, the player can climb down to reach another hammer to destroy a floating Oil can and grab the key. By jumping on the blue Color Switch where the Oil can was, the player can jump down to the locked door below.
In the second area, the player again starts under some ladders. Above the first ladder is a Garbage Can and a spring. On top of the ladders are a Shy Guy, two Fireballs, and a hammer that can be used to defeat them, along with a 1-Up Mushroom above the Fireballs. Falling to the platform below and using the ladder to climb further down, the player can use another hammer to defeat the Oil cans, and then climb the ladder to reach the Mini-Mario.
Enemies[edit]
Present locations[edit]
- Red: In the first area, on the bottom-left side of the map.
- Yellow: In the first area, on the top-left side of the map. The blue Color Switch needs to be activated in order to collect it.
