Pedal to the Paddle is a Bowser Jr. minigame in Mario Party 9. The name is a pun on the phrase "pedal to the metal." This minigame is set in New Super Mario Bros. Wii's airship levels.
Introduction[edit]
The players and Bowser Jr. jump from wooden platforms to Paddle Platforms with five lifts each.
Gameplay[edit]
The pair must try to reach the finish before Bowser Jr. by jumping on the platforms to make the Paddle Platform progress. Players must keep jumping to the rightmost platform so that weight pushes the Paddle Platform toward the goal. At the bottom of the screen is a meter that shows how close players are to the end. If a player falls off the Paddle Platform, they will reappear in a bubble a few seconds later. The player will automatically free themselves from the bubble.
