Up 'n' Down Desert is the eighth course of Episode 3 in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker and its Nintendo Switch and Nintendo 3DS ports of the same name.

Layout[edit]

The level is set in a desert where stone platforms rise and fall via P-Switches, and where Piranha Sprouts guard certain areas. Toadette must utilize the P-Switches in order to make it to the Power Star at the top.

Super Gems[edit]

Three Super Gems can be found throughout the level.

  • Super Gem 1: In a Pluck Patch on a rising stone in an alcove next to the first Piranha Sprout.
  • Super Gem 2: At an elevated platform just above the second Piranha Sprout. Toadette must use the P-Switch at the adjacent elevated platform to reach it.
  • Super Gem 3: Elevated over the course near the Power Star. Toadette must toss the nearby Piranha Sprout at it.

Luigi sighting[edit]

An 8-bit Luigi is on a fence post above the first P Switches.

Pixel Toad[edit]

Pixel Toad can be seen running back and forth near the second Piranha Sprout the player encounters.
