The '''Banana Peel''' is [[Diddy Kong]]'s down special move. The move causes Diddy Kong to toss a banana peel over his shoulder behind him. The banana peel then functions like the item, [[Banana Peel]], in that any character to walk over it will slip and fall. In ''Super Smash Bros. Brawl'', Diddy can toss two banana peels on the stage at once, but in ''Super Smash Bros. 4'', he can only toss one on the stage at once. Diddy Kong can also pick up his banana peels off the ground and throw themat his opponents to make them slip.

The Banana Peel is Diddy Kong's down special move in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U and Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. In the move, Diddy tosses a Banana Peel item behind his shoulder. Like ordinary banana peels, any character to walk over the Banana Peel object slips and falls over. Diddy can even pick up a Banana Peel and throw them at his opponents.

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, Diddy can toss two Banana Peels on the stage at once, but can only throw one on stage in Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U.

In Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS / Wii U, the Banana Peel move received two new variants: the Shocking Banana Peel and Battering Banana Peel. The Shocking Banana Peel paralyzes opponents who step on it, and Battering Banana Peel causes Diddy to throw a Banana Peel straight up, which launches up any character that is hit by it.
