Players have to press the plunger at a certain time according to the [[Goomba]]; if they plunge after the time indicated by the Goomba, they lose. The player who plunges closest to the appropriate time wins, regardless of whether he or she goes over the time limit. For example, if the Goomba tells both players "3 seconds", a player who plunges after 2.72 seconds would lose to an opponent who plunges after 3.14 seconds.
The minigame takes place in [[Space Land]]. Both players try to press the plunger at a certain time provided by the [[Goomba]], counting from when "Start!" appears onscreen. The player who counts closest to the time provided wins. If either both times are the same distance or no one hits the plunger, it is a draw.
