The players are in the sky with 30 balloons and blowguns to pop each other's balloons.

Both players are in the sky, held by balloons, and they use their blowgun to try and pop every balloon of their opponent before time is up. The player who destroys all 30 of their opponent's balloons wins. If neither fulfills the objective by five minutes, it is a draw.

The ending shows the losing player falling through the clouds, then the winning player waves, still held by their balloons. If a draw occurs, both players fall off of their balloons.
The minigame involves the two dueling characters suspended in the sky with thirty balloons. Each player is given a blowgun to pop the opponent's balloons. By pressing A and B simultaneously, the characters can shoot their blowgun as fast as they can to pop the opponent's balloons. The first person to pop all 30 of their adversary's balloons wins.

When the losing player runs out of balloons, the player yells in despair while falling. Then a "poof" is heard when the losing player falls through the clouds. The winning player is still in the sky is waving while saying their victory line.

Merry Poppings is a Duel minigame in Mario Party 5.

Overview

This is what happens to the loser in Merry Poppings.
