Effect Whoever lands on the space loses coins.

The Hammer Bro Orb, originally named Hammer Bro Capsule, is an orb in the Mario Party series, first appearing in Mario Party 5 and returning in Mario Party 7. In both games, when the targeted opponent lands on a space where the Hammer Bro Orb was placed, a Hammer Bro appears and throws two hammers at them, making them lose ten coins. In Mario Party 5's Story Mode, Hammer Bro steals five coins instead, and in Mario Party 7, the coins that the targeted player lost are received by whoever placed the orb instead. It is possible for a player to pay five coins to use it on themselves, despite it putting them at a disadvantage of losing coins themselves.

Though the Hammer Bro Orb does not appear in Mario Party 6, a similar item named the Spiny Orb does appear.
