During [[Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door#Chapter 6: 3 Days of Excess|Chapter 6]], Mario found a group crowding Chef Shimi's kitchen. Upon joining the discussion, Mario found out that Chef Shimi's Galley Pot was stolen. A detective on the train, Pennington, soon accused Mario of the theft. Mario denied the accusation, and so Pennington challenged him to find the true culprit.

The Galley Pot is an important item in Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door. It is the subject of Pennington's first case in the game, and Chef Shimi's prized possession.
