Bullet Train Blast is a minigame in Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020. It can be played through Story Mode or in the Game Room.

Gameplay[edit]

Dr. Eggman is sitting inside a bullet train, and Sonic must race it to its destination. At the start of the minigame, the player must press and hold A Button for Sonic to charge up a Spin Dash. Once released, the player must repeatedly press A Button for Sonic to run. While running, Sonic must avoid boulders, spikes, and Bumpers, which all slow him down. Along the way, he can collect two items from monitors: Shield and Invinciblity. If the bullet train reaches its destination first, Sonic fails the minigame.
