The players are in a grassy plains with some ladders behind. Mega Goomba appear and shock the players. The goal of the minigame is to drop Mega Goomba's HP to 0. There is a health bar similar to the one similar to ''[[Mario Party 9]]'' that tells the HP. The players climb ladders so they can jump on Mega Goomba in order to make a maximum of damage him and get a point per hit. If the players touch Mega Goomba, they lose one point. When Petey loses half of his health, he becomes angered (like other bosses from [[Mario Party 9]]) After Mega Goomba is defeated, the result screen is shown with a sum of points, penalties and bonuses. Mega Goomba's Ladder Leap is a boss minigame appearing in Mario Party 10. It takes place in Mushroom Park and pits players against a Mega Goomba.

Introduction

The minigame takes place in a forest clearing with three ladders leading up to a wooden platform as the Mega Goomba drops down from the sky and surprises the players, thus starting the minigame.

Gameplay

Players must climb the ladders up to the platform, after which they can jump on the Mega Goomba's head, getting one point per stomp. Players can jump on the boss's head three times before it forcibly shakes them off, forcing them to begin the process again.

Initially, the Mega Goomba slowly paces back and forth on the lower level, but Waddlewings periodically glide between the trees on the side of the stage, passing over the ladders at a certain level. If the players touch the Mega Goomba or a gliding Waddlewing, they lose one point.

When the Mega Goomba loses half of its health, it moves more quickly than before, making it harder to line up a jump. Additionally, Waddlewings attack more frequently, forcing players to use caution when climbing the ladders.

The minigame ends once the Mega Goomba's HP drops to zero—which happens on the 75th and final hit. The player who lands the final blow gains an additional three points. After the Mega Goomba is defeated, the result screen is shown with a sum of points, penalties, and bonuses. The player with the most points overall wins the minigame. If the Mega Goomba has not been defeated within five minutes, the minigame ends in a draw.

Ending

After gaining the last hit, the Mega Goomba falls onto its back and then explodes.
