Before every microgame begins, Chatty Mr. Spell Book opens his mouth to show the form within, and then opens his cover to reveal a number corresponding to the current round. Winning causes him to dance happily. If the player fails, Chatty Mr. Spell Book becomes enraged with sparks in his eyes. After the stage is beaten, Chatty Mr. Spell Book tells Ashley what to do and happily declares that she is now ready to try the spell again before disappearing. She tries the spell on another sprout.
