Suika Nokonoko is a species of Koopa Troopas whose shell resembles a watermelon. One member of this species is met in chapter 3 of Super Mario-kun Volume 13, in an alternate future where Bowser took over the Mushroom Kingdom following the Mario Brothers' retirement.
Warped into the future by Princess Peach's golden statue, Mario, Luigi, and Yoshi find a watermelon that Yoshi tries to eat, only for the Koopa to come out of its shell and protest. Shocked in seeing Mario, the Suika Nokonoko rolls away into a museum. The heroes follow it inside and learn what happened in this timeline.
