Fire Mountain Plus is the third plus world in Mario vs. Donkey Kong and its remake, being the counterpart to the previous Fire Mountain world. The backgrounds of the levels there are a different color (or completely different design in the remake) than in the original world it is based on. Like with its regular world counterpart, Fire Mountain Plus also features the same music replacements in the remake.

Bonus level[edit]
Exclusively in the Nintendo Switch version of Mario vs. Donkey Kong is a bonus level that can be played after completing enough levels. This bonus level features several sand blocks that the player needs to crumble to reach some of the 1-Up Mushrooms located in the lower portions of the level. Like other bonus levels, the player needs to catch the flying key and bring it to the chest at the bottom of the level for more extra lives.
