Samurai Smackdown is a Coin Chaos minigame in Mario Party: Star Rush. Its name may be a reference to the Samurai Shodown fighting game series.
Gameplay[edit]
The player has to move continuously to the right as enemies appear. They must hit them with a hammer; the attack used depends on where the enemy is. High attacks are for Swoops and Bullet Bills flying above the ground. Low attacks are for Goombrats and Bullet Bills flying closer to the ground. Each enemy that gets hit awards a different amount of coins. Swoops give one coin when hit, Goombrats give two coins when hit and Bullet Bills award a Red Coin which equals three coins. If a player is hit by any enemy without hitting them with their hammer, they are stunned for a short time and the enemies disappear. They reappear after the player recovers. If they stay in one spot without moving or go too far to the left, an arrow will appear on-screen to guide them to the right, where most of the enemies spawn. Some enemies also appear on the left.
