Haunted Hallways is a Free-for-All minigame in Mario Party: Star Rush. This minigame and Fruit or Foe are the only two luck-based minigames in this game.

Overview

Players move through a mansion whose layout is randomized every time the minigame is selected. The Touch Screen shows a map of the entire mansion. The red area indicates the starting point, the black areas indicate rooms that the player has not yet visited, green areas indicate rooms that the player has already visited, and the yellow area indicates the finish. Paths to additional rooms are colored light blue. There are always some rooms with a dead end, forcing the player to go back. Boos may appear in any room and carry players back to the start if they touch one. If looked at, they don't move. If looked away, they chase after the player. Once one player finds the finish, all of the other areas on the Touch Screen map are revealed, alongside other players' spots in the mansion. For the remaining players, red arrows appear on the top screen indicating which paths they should take to reach the finish as fast as possible. The first player to the finish wins.
