Buddy Bounce is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9.

Introduction[edit]

Players bounce on the Bouncy Clouds at varying intervals as the balloons appear.

Gameplay[edit]

Players must try to pop balloons by coming in contact with them to score points. The lowest row has balloons that are worth one point, the middle row has balloons that are worth three points, and the top row has balloons that are worth 10 points. The top row can be reached only by bouncing on another player. Balloons reappear five to seven seconds after being popped. After 30 seconds, the player with the highest score wins.

In the two- and three-player version of the minigame, the space is smaller and colored walls appear on either side of the field.

In-game text[edit]

  • Rules"Bounce on the clouds to collect as many balloons as you can. Bounce on the head of another player to reach the higher, more valuable balloons."
  • Controls"Hold the Wii Remote sideways. Press +Control Pad to move."
