The background in most levels now overlooks an entire city with several buildings, as opposed to a construction site-like setting with several girders of rounded edges.


In the [[Mario vs. Donkey Kong (Nintendo Switch)|Nintendo Switch remake]], it is still the final world, but it is now the eighth main world, after the new fourth and sixth worlds [[Merry Mini-Land]] and [[Slippery Summit]] were added.
