Revision as of 04:34, January 17, 2025

It has been requested that this article be rewritten and expanded to include more information. Reason: More prizes can be found in the sprites: what happens if Mario goes back and hits the trees again after playing the first time?

The title of this article is from an official source, but is based on development data such as an internal filename.
If an acceptable public name is found, then the article should be moved to the new title.

Pelmanism Leaf
Two Pelmanism Leaves in Paper Mario: The Origami King
Two Pelmanism Leaves: one face-down and the other showing a pair of Shiny Boots
First appearance Paper Mario: The Origami King (2020)
Effect Can be matched to gain the prize printed on a pair

Pelmanism Leaves are rare objects that appear in Paper Mario: The Origami King. They are leaves that fall after hitting certain trees, imprinted with different symbols on the front of them. Mario must hammer them to reveal the front, and if he matches a pair of symbols, he gets the prize depicted. If he matches incorrectly, they flip back over as a buzzer sounds. They appear in the Whispering Woods and the Spring of Jungle Mist. In the former area, the Whispering Trees will react as Mario plays the Pelmanism Leaf game.
