Fat Guys are corpulent, heavy Shy Guys. Fat Guys appear only in Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island, Yoshi Topsy Turvy, and Yoshi's Island DS. In Yoshi's Island, Yoshi receives a Giant Egg from eating a Fat Guy. Giant Eggs can't be shot. Instead upon using the Giant Egg every enemy on screen turns into a Star. Fat Guys may also be used as platforms, but after jumping on them they will run faster.
In Mario Party DS, Fat Guy has a cameo as Soda Cup and Fries in one of the minigames.
