A Spiked Thwomp[1] is a type of Thwomp that appears in The Legend of Zelda: Link's Awakening, a variant unique to the The Legend of Zelda series. Spiked Thwomps are colored gray, and only have one eye, which follows whichever direction that Link is in. Spiked Thwomps also have small spikes beneath its chin and on the sides, as well as a flat surface on its top part, allowing Link to stand on them.

Spiked Thwomps are only found in Angler's Tunnel and Catfish's Maw. They exhibit the same behavior as regular Thwomps from the Super Mario series, waiting on the ceiling, and slamming down with a sinister grin when Link gets near in an attempt to squish Link. Unlike regular Thwomps, however, Spiked Thwomps do not return to the ceiling until Link moves away from it. Spiked Thwomps are indestructible in this game and cannot be defeated.

Spiked Thwomps also appear in Snake's Remains in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Seasons and in Wing Dungeon in The Legend of Zelda: Oracle of Ages. Aside from being recolored to dark blue, their behavior remains the same as their previous appearance.
