Each player is holding a rope and all the ropes are connected in the middle to a bumper-like object. A player is eliminated if he or she is pulled off the platform by the others. Because the ropes are all connected in the middle, each player's pull affects all other players.

Tug-o-Dorrie is a Battle minigame found in Mario Party 5. It features the appearance of four plastic-looking Dorries. Its name and gameplay are based on the game tug of war.

Gameplay[edit]

The four players face each other on high platforms held by giant (red, blue, green, and yellow) plastic Dorries, each holding a rope connected in the middle to a bumper-like object. The objective is to pull other players off their platforms while avoiding being pulled off. The last player standing wins. If there is more than one player still standing after the timer runs out, those players are declared winners. If all four players are still standing at the end, the match is a draw.
