The approached Bro. must hammer the Monolift R when the rocks are tilting away from him to make them all fall on the Monolift R. If he fails to do so successfully, the Monolift R will throw the rocks at a very vertical angle into the approached Bro., or the rocks will fall on him.

Monolifts R may also throw their stack of rocks high into the air, and punch them into Mario and Luigi; they must jump over them. Variant of Monolift

Monolifts R are small mountain-shaped enemies with hands that appear in Mario & Luigi: Dream Team. Monolifts R are stronger versions of Monolifts. They appear on the path to the Pajamaja Rock Frame in Mount Pajamaja. There is only one Monolift R enemy in the overworld, making it the rarest real world enemy in the entire game. In the field, Monolifts R carry a rock. Upon sighting Mario and Luigi, Monolifts R chase them for a short duration, ending by throwing their rock at the Bros. They are unable to move until a new rock drops down.

In battle, Monolifts R hold two or three rocks over their head. Some of them are metal and grey, others are brown. Due to these rocks, they are immune to jump-based attacks. They have two attacks, both of which use up their rocks and conclude with the Monolift R running offscreen to get a new set. The rocks are chosen at random, but there is a chance that the Monolift R will return with a stack of four rocks. If so it will turn red and struggle to hold the stack up. If the Monolift R is jumped on during this time, the weight will becomes too much for it, and the Monolift R will be squished and defeated instantly. No Grumbells are present in the area the Monolift R appears, so they never cannot perform the pair attack with a Grumbell that a regular Monolift does.

The first attack has a Monolift R approach a Bro. and hold the stack of rocks even higher over its head, making it shake back and forth. The approached Bro. must hammer the Monolift R when the rocks are tilting away from him to make them all fall on the Monolift R. An incorrectly timed hammer causes the rocks to fall onto the Brother, and not attacking at all allows the Monolift R to throw the rocks into the air where they fall down onto the Bro. One hit is dealt per rock.

The second attack has a Monolift R throw their stack of rocks high into the air. The rocks come back down one at a time, and the Monolift R punches them into Mario and Luigi. This is avoided by jumping over the rocks. If the Monolift R faces Mario and the background, it is about to punch a metal rock at him. If the Monolift R faces Luigi and the foreground, it is about to punch one at him. If the Monolift R punches an orange rock, then the direction its facing is unimportant. Orange rocks break into two and fly towards both Bros., who must jump over them at the same time. The orange rocks also approach the Bros. slightly slower than the metal rocks do. The Bros. can land on these rocks without taking damage. It has no effect on the metal ones but the orange ones shatter.

A Shy Guy Airtub may assist Monolifts R in battle.
