Bomb Barge is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9. The name is a pun on the word "bombard," which means "to attack with nuclear weapons and/or bombs."

Introduction

A raft floats along a toxic river, and all players fall from the sky and land on it. The scenery is based on World 5-4 from New Super Mario Bros. Wii.

Gameplay

Players try to survive the longest by avoiding Bob-ombs and kicking them out of their way. If a player is hit by a Bob-omb explosion, they will be blasted away, though not necessarily off the raft. Players can also slow each other down by jumping on each other, and they can avoid Bob-omb explosions by kicking Bob-ombs away. A player who falls off the raft is eliminated. The last player remaining, or any players left after 60 seconds, wins.

In-game text

  • Rules"Stay on the raft as long as you can! Avoid Bob-ombs, or run into them before they explode to kick them away from you!"
  • Controls"Hold the Wii Remote sideways. Press +Control Pad to move and Two Button to jump."
