Second phase:

Wiggler Bounce is a boss minigame found in Mario Party 9.

Introduction[edit]

The players are in a forest area. Wiggler then walks out of the trees and the bushes. Then, two Piranha Plants appear.

Gameplay[edit]

The objective is to ground-pound Wiggler's body segments while avoiding any Piranha Plants, which deduct one point from the player's score upon contact. Ground-pounding a segment with a purple mark on it gives the player one point, while ground-pounding the red segment gives the player three points. Players can also ground-pound other players to slow them down.

When its health is halfway depleted, Wiggler becomes angry. It turns red and moves much faster than before, making it harder to ground-pound a body segment. In addition to that, three Piranha Plants appear at once instead of just two. The player who delivers the final attack earns an additional three points, and the player with the most points at the end of the minigame wins.

Ending[edit]

Wiggler turns back to yellow, falls to the ground upside-down, and then explodes, releasing several Mini Stars in Party Mode and Solo Mode.
