Thug Slugs[1] are enemies in Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze and its port. These slugs are encountered in levels of the Lost Mangroves only; they are first found in Canopy Chaos, where they mostly reside in treetops, though a few also circulate around metallic platforms. Thug Slugs crawl around a platform, damaging the Kongs upon coming into contact with them. They are normally vulnerable to any attacks, but when they hang from the underside of a platform, they can only be defeated with a throwing object, such as a barrel. Thug Slugs can be stunned briefly by shooting them with a popgun or ground pounding next to them.
