Bumpers are items from the Sonic the Hedgehog franchise that knock the player back after contact with it. These items make one appearance in the Super Mario franchise within the game Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020 during the Tokyo Sky Flight minigame found in the Story Mode and the Game Room. In this game, Bumpers are used as shields used by enemies to deflect shots fired by the Tornado.
