Level EX-11 (Level x-9 in the GBA version) is the eleventh/ninth of the Expert levels in Mario vs. Donkey Kong and its remake. It is set in Fire Mountain Plus. It requires 81 (88 in the remake) gold stars to unlock. In the Nintendo Switch remake, the target time for this level's Time Attack is 30.00.
Overview
The player has to first climb the ropes and press the blue Color Switch, while avoiding the fire birds. Pressing the Color Switch will open the wall down below and the player can continue onward, avoiding a Thwomp Platform. Next, the player has to climb a ladder while avoiding a Fire Shy Guy at the top, and then tossing the Fire Shy Guy onto the ledge to the right so the player can reach the ropes. Continuing left, the player can grab the key and use a Ninji to reach the locked door.
