Pianta Pool is a Free-for-All minigame featured in Mario Party 9.

Introduction[edit]

The camera pans from the ocean to the pool. A Pianta catches two pink rings and a golden ring, which are thrown from offscreen.

Gameplay[edit]

Players try to earn points by collecting rings. When players get rings, they lift them up and multiple Cheep Cheeps jump through them; points are distributed based on how many Cheep Cheeps leap through the rings. Pink rings give the player three points, and the golden ring gives the player five points. Only once all three rings have been collected does the Pianta throw them out again. It is possible for players to get multiple rings in the same round if they get the first ring quickly enough. If a player is holding a ring after time runs out, they still get the number of points that ring is worth. The player with the highest score at the end of the minigame wins.

This minigame is also available in Perspective Mode, in which the camera is zoomed in on the player and moves with them, allowing only limited sight of the area.
