Weird Wheels is a 1-vs.-Rivals minigame featured in Mario Party 9.

Introduction

The vehicles approach the starting line, and the camera zooms out slightly.

Gameplay

Players must move vehicles whose wheels are not round: square wheels for the solo player's vehicle, and triangular wheels for the rivals' vehicle. The solo player moves their vehicle by pressing +Control Pad buttons in the exact order shown onscreen. The rivals move their vehicle by pressing One Button or Two Button one by one. If the solo player presses a wrong button, they must start another combination. If a rival presses a wrong button, they must simply try again. A total of five combinations must be done to reach the goal. The first side to reach the goal wins. It is possible to end in a tie where everyone celebrates by having both teams reach the end at the same time.

In-game text
