First appearance | Super Mario Bros. Wonder (2023) |
Subject origin | Thwomp |
Konks are metallic enemies with big teeth introduced in Super Mario Bros. Wonder, seen in gray and either yellow or blue.[1] They function very similar to Thwomps, as their main form of attack is dropping downwards when the player is beneath them. They are also capable of moving left and right. They can be stood on or touched by its sides without taking damage. Konks appear prominently in the level Jewel-Block Cave, where they are capable of breaking Jewel-Blocks. Konks can also plough through goo in another level.[2]
There are also blue Konks that attack from below, flying upwards when the player is above them instead. A giant, screen-sized Konk also appears during a Wonder Effect.[1]
