The battle with Pi'illodium is quite interesting. To start with, Mario & Luigi must destroy his two wings. When they are broken, Pi'illodium will begin to feel queasy. After this, Mario and Luigi focus attacks on Pi'illodium himself. Bros. Attacks are a good idea at this point. However, the Mini Pi'illoids that Pi'illodium summons will heal his wings with a strange Laser Beam. Once a certain amount of damage has been done to Pi'illodium, he will go into self-destruct mode. Now the brothers must defeat him in a time limit. If they fail, Pi'illodium will explode, killing himself, Mario and Luigi.
