World 1-1 (New Super Mario Bros. Wii)

Template:Levelbox World 1-1 is the first level of New Super Mario Bros. Wii. It begins immediately outside of Princess Peach's Castle and introduces the player to a new power-up, the Propeller Suit. Its completion unlocks World 1-2.

Layout

Princess Peach's Castle can be seen in the background at the beginning of the level, just as in New Super Mario Bros.. There are also three ? Blocks, a few Brick Blocks, and a Goomba. To the right are some moving sections of land, the latter of which has three platforms above it, and a green Pipe within it that leads to a room with coins, Brick Blocks, and a P-Switch. Ahead is the Checkpoint Flag.

If players have the Propeller Suit, which is accessible in several ? Blocks, they can access the game's first Red Ring. Further along is a rolling hill with a secret alcove; if the player jumps onto the green Pipe and waits, they will be brought to an area with three hidden 1-Up Mushrooms and dozens of coins. The pipe itself leads to an area with a Star Coin. After jumping over a few pits, the Flagpole can be seen past the final rolling hill.

Star Coins

• Star Coin 1: The first Star Coin is just after the Checkpoint Flag, floating above two Coins and a row of two Brick Blocks and a ? Block. The players can use a Propeller Suit to fly up to it or jump from the nearby hill.
• Star Coin 2: There will be a spinning ground wheel with a Green Pipe submerged inside. After entering the Pipe, the second Star Coin is floating high in the air between two Pipes with several Coins surrounding it. The players can again reach it with a Propeller Suit, or by wall kicking.
• Star Coin 3: Shortly after exiting the area with the second Star Coin, the third Star Coin is floating high in the air over a platform. The players must obtain it either with a Propeller Suit or by using the nearby Koopa Troopa to jump to it.
