Spy Guys[1] are black Shy Guys hovering about via a built-in jet unit found in Mario vs. Donkey Kong 2: March of the Minis, where they only appear in the Lava Dome. A Mini Mario can ride them; however, if the Mini Mario touches its fire from underneath, it will be burned. If the Spy Guy is on ground that is directly below it, it will walk like red Shy Guys until it walks off of the ground. They are very similar in principle to Black Shy Guys from Yoshi's Story, as they are both black-colored Shy Guys that fly.
