Aboutfile and licensing[edit]
Hello, Superstarxalien169. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello. Please consider the above, and just remember to correctly apply a license when uploading files by selecting the correct template from the drop-down menu. Thanks.

Files[edit]
Hey, next time you will ever upload any kind of file, could you please compile that template? It is useful to make know about the contents. Thanks for understanding. TSUNAMI
Hi, could you please not re-upload files that I uploaded, it makes me feel like you're taking credit for my work. Thanks for understanding. Shisui2009 (talk) 00:24, 6 September 2015 (EDT)
Image Category Reminder[edit]
Hello, Superstarxalien169. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly categorize the file. It's simple to learn how to do so. Just search for the correct category by starting with the following groups:
When uploading, copy the full title of the category and insert it in square brackets into the summary text box below the aboutfile template, replacing the uncategorized template entirely. If you're using the upload function from the text editor, simply add the category link to the description. For example, files related to the game Super Mario World would use: or Please consider the above information before uploading more files. Keep in mind that some files can belong to multiple categories. Do not put images into the media files category, or vice versa. If you continue uploading files without categorizing them correctly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
What's weird is that your recent Mario Kart 8 Deluxe images were missing uncategorized at upload, and that should auto-insert itself when Special:Upload is used, if you forget to categorize. That's no longer the case because I added the categories. Go here and follow the directions with the browser(s) you are using. You should then see uncategorized in the description box. The idea behind inserting it is that it really shouldn't be there so replace that text with the appropriate category. Also, don't just remove the template without first categorizing the image. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 21:54, 22 January 2017 (EST)
Hello! Please keep the above information in mind when uploading files, as your recent uploads were missing
. Thanks! --TheFlameChomp (talk) 13:48, 31 December 2017 (EST)
- Media files don't belong in image categories (Category:Mario Kart Arcade GP DX Media Files and Category:Mario Kart Arcade GP DX Images). If the category doesn't exist, you can create it. Also, it is discouraged to have the extension OGG for files, so I moved them to the right name. See Help:Media. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 14:54, 9 January 2018 (EST)
Please remember the above information when uploading images, as your recent images were missing Category:Mario Kart Arcade GP DX Images. Thanks! --TheFlameChomp (talk) 20:36, July 31, 2020 (EDT)
Personal Images[edit]
These are tagged with personal-file-abandoned. Revert my edits if this is wrong. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 04:43, 11 February 2017 (EST)
Mario Kart DS[edit]
Hey, can you rip Mario Kart DS texture files? I'd appreciate having textures for the Standard Kart variants, to remove the image tag on this article. Ray Trace(T|C) 20:25, 30 December 2017 (EST)
- The Standard Karts actually use palette files, but I'll see what I can do. --Superstarxalien169 20:42, 30 December 2017 (EST)
MKAGPDX Emblems[edit]
Hey there, first, thanks for your efforts to upload the emblems from various games. I just wanted to ask if it's possible to upload King Boo's emblem from MKAGPDX, if he got overlooked or something. Of course, if it's not feasible to do so due to his limited availability, then I also understand. Sorry, I just love King Boo. MarioComix (talk) 15:39, August 2, 2020 (EDT)
- To my knowledge, the latest dumped version of MKAGPDX is 1.10: meaning no Daisy, Lakitu, or King Boo. really wish I could dump his tho --Superstarxalien169 21:21, August 2, 2020 (EDT)
- Ah, that's too bad. Hopefully later versions will be available for dumping soon! MarioComix (talk) 22:14, August 3, 2020 (EDT)
DYK?[edit]
Did you know that if you create a signature page, it would save a lot time fixing the file it gets moved. Just saying. --DarkNight 13:44, October 10, 2020 (EDT)
- I'm sorry but I don't understand what you mean by "it would save a lot time fixing the file it gets moved." --Superstarxalien169 19:38, October 12, 2020 (EDT)
- What I mean is if the file you're using in your sig (the spiny shell one) gets moved to a different file, there would be a lot of broken file links on talk pages (or you can ask Porplemontage to do text replacement if there's a lot). It would also reduce the bytes in a page. --DarkNight 20:02, October 12, 2020 (EDT)
- huh, what should I do with the images then
- also at this point I already have lots of posts in talk pages so --Superstarxalien169 20:09, October 12, 2020 (EDT)

What they were trying to say is that your signature code should be in a signature page (User:Superstarxalien169/sig), since signing with raw code goes against signature policy. After doing that, go to your preferences, type in the "New signature" field, check the "Treat signature as wikitext" checkbox and save. - This should do it, thanks for that! --Superstarxalien169 14:03, November 21, 2020 (EST)

Just letting you know I've updated the proposal with a new option: "Move page to the BJAODN archive and remove anything else related to it from the wiki". -- KOOPA CON CARNE 16:14, May 27, 2023 (EDT)
