No unofficial content[edit]
Please stop adding unofficial content on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
- I'm not spamming, you can't remove reminders from your talkpage, it is against the rules. Also, you can't split those DS article unless you make a proposal so people agree. DS, DS Lite, DSi, and DSi XL are all part of the DS line, so they must all be in the same article. 3DS, however, is their successor, so it can have it own article. Fawfulfury65
Talkpage[edit]
What were you trying to do on my talkpage? I don't get it. --Glowsquid 21:52, 16 July 2010 (UTC)
Username[edit]
Hey, are you sure your user name is supposed to be rapper, not raper? 'Cause inappropriate usernames are not allowed. Just wondering. Mario JC
Logo[edit]
Uh, are you talking about replacing the logo? Well, sorry, but that proposal actually failed so we are not changing it as of now. Fawfulfury65
Username[edit]
(Well, that pic was a bit unexpected) Hey, it's no problem about the username - just wanted to know that's all. Mario JC
Project 64[edit]
Oh, I don't even remember you. I don't hate you, project64 is an emulator, it's not allowed here. I would've done the same thing with anothr user.Count Bonsula I need blood...
- Emulators themselves are *not* illegal. The bios and roms are, though, are so are the links to them. --Glowsquid 12:51, 20 July 2010 (UTC)
Main Page capitalization[edit]
I can't change that, but they don't have to have capital letters anyway. Fawfulfury65
Warning[edit]
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (Uploading fan made arts) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
It still, not a screenshot or offical art of boo luigi same goes to that ice luigi you uploaded. We don't allowed unoffical arts in the game artices. Unless you want to keep it to yourself? L151
Username[edit]
Hey! I saw your username dilemna...anyways, you should really get that changed! How? Oh, go to this page and add a new section with this content:
Jjraper100 My current name is mispelled.
If you do that, a bureaucrat will change your name for you! Marioguy1 (talk)
- Well, if you type that code on the page MarioWiki:Changing username - a bureaucrat will change it for you, that's all! If you want me to ask a bureaucrat for you then I could if you need me to. Marioguy1 (talk)
Image[edit]
Yeah its a wonderful image! But sadly, the proposal failed...
Images?[edit]
I don't understand what you mean by 'changing the images to you every week'. Do you mean the images I change on my user page? Probably not... Mario JC
- Oh right. I just change the images when I feel like it. Mario JC
- OK, IDK if you saw what I said before...try to respond even if the response is No so that I know you've seen it, kk?
Username[edit]
Anyways, do you want me to get your username changed for you? If you want to do it yourself, check the section "Username" on this page but if you want me to, just say Yes. If not, say No so that I know you don't want it changed. Marioguy1 (talk)
- OK, sorry, I got a bit impatient :P. Anyways, if you change your username, it will do absolutely nothing to you except change the name of this page and your userpage from what they currently are to Jjrapper instead of Jjraper. It's a minor change but it'll help you have the username you wanted. Marioguy1 (talk)
Good job! See how easy it is? Just put your request on that page and then a bureaucrat will change it if it's possible. You can make another request using that exact coding if you ever want it changed again. However you can only change it twice a year so you can change it one more time :D Marioguy1 (talk)
User:Marioguy1 talk[edit]
I was talking to Marioguy1 not you.
If I was talking to you, I'd post it on your page. Booderdash (talk)
Super Mario 64[edit]
Please stop chatting on talk pages on the Super Mario Wiki. This isn't a warning, and it's possible that you made a mistake by accident or without realizing it; this is simply a reminder for your information. If the action continues, then a warning will be issued. Thanks for reading and keep contributing. If you feel this reminder was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
Please dont chat on article talk pages. The thing you put on SM64's page had nothing to do with the article, and it was illegal. ' BluePikminKong497 21:57, 29 July 2010 (UTC)
Super Mario Wiki picture[edit]
Hey, I like that new SMW picture you made. Maybe it should be the new logo for the Super Mario Wiki.
Proposal[edit]
I moved your Proposal about the First-English-vs-American names to MarioWiki:Proposals, since TPPs are only for changes that will affect the article that the talk page belongs to and/or a small number of related pages: your Proposal affects the entire wiki. The deadline was also wrong, and I advise you to change the name of the proposal to reflect the full extent of its subject matter: it is not just about changing which boxart is used in the infobox. - Walkazo 19:03, 8 August 2011 (EDT)
Proposal 2[edit]
All of the revisions you did are illegal you are not allowed to edit a proposal 3 days after it was proposed Goomba's Shoe15 (talk)
Recent edits to the Mario game articles (With Attached Warning)[edit]
Hey there, can you explain why you had to link to Nintendo EAD on every Mario game article? Some of them were acceptable, but most of them weren't really unnecessary. However, the main case we have against you in terms of those edits is mostly this:
This is a warning to stop your inappropriate behavior (failure to mark certain edits as minor) on the Super Mario Wiki. Please adhere to the rules or you will be blocked from editing this site. If you feel this warning was undeserved, you may appeal it. |
The same edits that you made -- those were actually minor edits. Unless you have attempted to do a major change/rewrite on any article in the mainspace, you MUST mark that edit as minor. Make sure to keep that in mind next time. Thanks for your cooperation. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 21:48, 20 October 2011 (EDT)
- Okay, have you encountered any additional evidence outside of this Wiki in terms of the games that were made by Nintendo EAD? Just let me know so that we can see about what articles to target and correct the errors in the articles themselves. Your warning itself still stands because of your not marking said edits as minor, however. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 20:36, 21 October 2011 (EDT)
Sir, please understand...[edit]
Nintendo Software Technology is the primary developer for the Mario vs. Donkey Kong games. Please stop changing the developer information in the respective infoboxes back to Nintendo EAD. Thank you. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 12:06, 24 November 2011 (EST)
Discussion[edit]
Your Mario Wiki Logo is being discussed to used as our logo. I'm here to ask you: Do you agree to let us have to make some minor edits to the logo, but your credit is saved for this awesome work!--

I'm sorry for the late response, but, YES, I would love to have my logo as the websites logo! :)
Uploads[edit]
Hello Jjrapper100. Nice job on your uploads in relation to the Luigi's Mansion beta elements. But when uploading a file, it's important to license the image (seen on the upload page). Also, remember to categorize the file (just add
, replacing the "Luigi's Mansion" with whatever game the file may come from. Additionally, if the image is from a beta build then be sure to also add
to the image, as well as the game category. Thanks for reading!
Shokora (talk · edits) 00:24, 1 September 2013 (EDT) hmm
Thank you, YoshiKong! I'm sorry, it's that I didn't want to have the hastle of categorizing each image into its genre, but I just speed up the uploading process by not doing so. I'll make sure to do so! But, until tommorow... It's getting late here in Maryland. :)
- No problem. Also, just to clarify, was this image from Super Smash Bros. Brawl?
Why, yes, as for which battle arena, beats me.
Edits[edit]
May I ask where you found that Nintendo was the developer of those games? Yoshi876 (talk)
- I'm not calling you a troll, or a vandal in any way, I just want a source for that information because it was previously unknown. And I'm not a major member on the wiki, I'm just a guy that reverts stuff that should be reverted. And MarioWiki:Rules, MarioWiki:Warning policy and MarioWiki:Courtesy would be the best bet for the rules. Yoshi876 (talk)
Luigi's Mansion beta elements[edit]
List of Luigi's Mansion beta elements has a lot of information added in by you that simply doesn't have sources. I'd like to ask you for all of your sources, but I'll start off small: what's your source for Luigi's Mansion originally being a Nintendo 64 prototype? Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Even with those two sources, all it proves was that there was very early concepts being created for the Nintendo 64 and does not, in fact, ever explicitly state that it was originally a prototype. You can extrapolate and speculate all you want, but the fact remains that there's no concrete evidence of that. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Opinions are exactly the kind of thing that we want to avoid. If you don't have anything else to back it up, it needs to be removed. I'll be more vague with what I ask next: I've marked a bunch of lines with a [citation needed], so go through the article and tell me if there are any sources I've missed that clearly indicate these elements. Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- Let me ask you more directly: where did you find your information on the Luigi's Mansion demo? Hello, I'm Time Turner.
- And all the other stuff? Hello, I'm Time Turner.

Aboutfile reminder[edit]
Hello, Jjrapper100. Good job on your recent uploads, but when uploading files, keep in mind that you must correctly use the aboutfile template. What you were doing looks like this, and it is an inconvenience for other users to fix up the template. It is simple to learn how to format it correctly. The pre-loaded syntax is shown below. Just replace the necessary parts with that corresponding information, and remove the entire line for the parameter(s) you don't use. Please consider the above information before uploading more files. If you continue using aboutfile incorrectly, then a warning will be issued. Thank you for reading, and keep contributing. |
Hello, please remember to format your preloaded aboutfile templates properly. When you upload a file, you will see that template. Fill out the appropriate sections, delete unused ones, and remember to categorize your images according to game (in your pre-release Luigi's Mansion images, add to the end). You can delete the aboutfile altogether, but I recommend you learn how it works. It's not convenient for others to fix it for you whenever you upload images. Ray Trace(T|C) 16:24, 3 May 2016 (EDT)
- Also, remember to add the proper license for the images, and only select "don't know" if you absolutely have no idea what the image is supposed to be/where it's from. All the Luigi's Mansion files you uploaded were screenshots, and should carry the template game-screenshot (select "video game screenshot" in the menu when you upload).
And one more thing, make sure the filenames are descriptive enough and not something like this which is vague and unreliable. -- ( • ) 20:30, 3 May 2016 (EDT)
- You can actually do that before uploading the image; in the "summary" section of the File Description just put and then select "Video game screenshot" from the menu below it. It gives the same result and makes it a lot easier so that other people don't have to go back and add it. -- ( • ) 20:55, 3 May 2016 (EDT)
Please remember to remove any unused parameters in aboutfile for any files you upload as described in the above reminder. Mario JC 21:08, 18 April 2018 (EDT)
Minor checkbox[edit]
Hi. I noticed that you made a minor edit to Next Level Games without marking it as minor. In the future, it would be better if you got into the habit of checking the "minor edit" box (located below the "edit summary" bar), as it becomes more convenient for page patrollers and administrators. Furthermore, repeated failure to mark minor edits as minor counts as a level one offense, as described at the very first bullet point. Thank you and keep on contributing. Jumping the gun[edit]
It's not the 10th in all of America just yet, you know. Doc von Schmeltwick (talk) 00:26, 10 November 2017 (EST)
Pink Gold Peach talk[edit]
Kid, we here on the wiki all hate Pink Gold Peach for the exact same reasons you do, but it's best not to dwell into that topic. We don't want a bunch of topics springing up about why Pink Gold Peach sucks this and that, so it's just best to ignore her. Lcrossmk8 (talk) 22:40, 1 December 2017 (EST)
Joy-Con wrist straps[edit]
Hi! We're currently in a state of disagreement about the Joy-Con wrist straps. You say there are distinct left and right straps for the Joy-Con, although this is not the case. There is a plus on one side of them, and a minus on the other side matching the plus or minus buttons when attaching the Joy-Con. Lakituthequick 13:46, 7 January 2018 (UTC)
- So what is the difference then? What makes that one is not supposed to go on the other? Lakituthequick 07:04, 8 January 2018 (UTC)
Italics[edit]
Hey. Just a reminder to please remember to italicise game and series titles. You've been on the wiki for a while now so I had assumed you would've been accustomed to it by now, but there have been several instances where you forget to use them. Mario JC 20:50, 5 February 2018 (EST)
"References should go after periods, commas, parentheses, etc."[edit]
Under what style guide? The wiki's own guide doesn't mention it, and meanwhile, MLA and APA both include them before periods and other punctuation marks. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 11:30, 9 March 2018 (EST)
- That's not an answer to my question. If there's no backing to enforce it, it doesn't seem appropriate to do so. Hello, I'm Time Turner. 12:07, 9 March 2018 (EST)
Gallery Photo[edit]
I know i could have updated it but it wouldn't let and keep showing an error
Audio Formats[edit]
I noticed that an upload of yours was using FLAC and you used a website that Super Mario Wiki doesn't recommend. You can use software that Super Mario Wiki doesn't list, but I thought I'd show you converters better suited for uploading: Help:Media. I corrected your upload: File:Nintendo 64DD start up.oga. For my upload, I used an emulator to capture the audio and Audacity to import the audio. Exported as an OGG Vorbis file. Super Mario Wiki keeps it strictly Vorbis for audio to keep audio uploads simple and compatible with most web browsers. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 22:46, 2 May 2018 (EDT)
- There is a problem with uploading MP3s and that is you need a license to encode them for use through downloading. It's just legality at this point. OGG Vorbis is royalty-free and license-free. The audio plug-in I chose in the N64 emulator will try and mimic the real hardware's audio capabilities, but I outputted into an uncompressed WAV file before converting to OGG Vorbis. A YouTube video uses a lossy audio codec. I believe AAC audio. I can't recommend using YouTube over an emulator for this reason. Even though it applies to images, I am trying to follow policy in this case for audio as well. --Wildgoosespeeder (talk) (Stats - Contribs) 22:20, 4 May 2018 (EDT)
Mario Party 64DD[edit]
Perhaps I'm uneducated, but I don't get what the video reference in your recent edit is supposed to show. What is error 31? I'm not seeing anything that actually confirms the use of the 64DD, for either Mario Party or Mario Party 2. 00:13, 13 May 2018 (EDT)
- So long story short, simply because the Disk Drive recognizes the game means that there was supposed to be something more to it? That's a really interesting find! 20:32, 15 May 2018 (EDT)
Re:Template:Poll[edit]
It's all been fixed now- it may take a while to show up on your end. Thank you for letting us know! (T · C) 02:34, 20 November 2018 (EST)
Infoboxes[edit]
We don't update the list of appearances in the infoboxes (characters, races, etc.) until after the game is fully released in a region. 20:52, May 25, 2019 (EDT)
