The 'Shroom:Issue 206/The 'Shroom Spotlight
Hello, all you readers of The 'Shroom, and welcome to Spotlight. Spotlight is a community project which aims to fix up the articles on the wiki which have issues. These issues can range from poor writing, to a lack of images, to even just needing a credible source.
How has your May been going? For me, it's been pretty darn good. I've celebrated my birthday this month and the remake of Paper Mario: The Thousand-Year Door is just around the corner! I'll definitely be checking it out when it gets released. I'll just need to finish my New Game+ playthrough of Persona 5 Royal first. Now with that tangent out of the way, let's go over last month's focuses.
ThePowerPlayer (talk) created the article for the Yoshi Cart, Yook Bab-imba (talk) expanded upon Wario World's gameplay section, Yoshi the SSM (talk) gave proof that there are missable coins in the Luncheon Kingdom, and finally Scrooge200 (talk) provided a new image for File:Tulip.png, added more images to the Danger article, and even went beyond and separated the later Paper Mario games within the Danger article into different sections! With five of the six focuses completed, I'd say it was a pretty great month.
And now onto this month's focuses:
Article | Category | Focuses |
---|---|---|
Are you up to the challenge? The amiibo Challenge, that is. The balloons in question are the ones from Balloon Float Castle. | ||
I think the Super Mario Bros. Wonder section of this article holds the record for the shortest stub section I have ever seen. Help it from being so comically short and add a list of levels where P Switches appear at the very least. | ||
As with other articles created during the wiki's early years, this article still contains some melodramatic language. Reign in the chaos and give this article a super rewrite. | ||
Here's a simple puzzle to solve: add an image of the Puzzle Solver from Paper Mario: The Origami King to its article. | ||
Two of the hottest hits from Donkey Konga still need music samples. They are the opening from Super Smash Bros. Melee and the original arrangement of The Legend of Zelda's theme. | ||
The article claims Shigeru Miyamoto himself appears in the film within the crowd. Which crowd? That's for you to find (or debunk). |
Now just before I leave you, I'd like to tell you about unimplemented proposals. There are currently forty-one that need to be implemented, dating as far back as 2021, so think of this as a continuous Spotlight goal until they're all completed. Additionally, there are many unresolved discussions that we would love to see come to some sort of conclusion. Some might have already concluded and just need the template removed, others have been waiting for a response for years.
Thanks for tuning in to the newest edition of The 'Shroom Spotlight! Be sure to turn up next month, where we'll be reviewing the progress on the above focuses. If you have any questions or suggestions about this month's set of the article focuses, then please get in touch through the dedicated topic if you have a forum account. If not, then please contact me on my talk page, but you are far more likely to get a quick response if you go through the forums. You are also welcome to make suggestions on what you think we could focus on in our next edition! Thank you, and good luck!
