Brother/Sister[edit]
Is Toadette really his sister, I thought that was unconfirmed. (I haven't played any Toadette involving MP games, so I don't know.) User:Gowser
Is anybody there??? --Gowser 10:01, 17 November 2007 (EST)
I agree they look like twins to me. Princess Grapes Butterfly 21:26, 17 November 2007 (EST)
It doesn't matter what they look like. What matters is weather or not this is confirmed. I just noticed one section of the article says it's his sister, while another part says it's unconfirmed. I'm removing it. --HyperToad 15:56, 19 November 2007 (EST)
If it uncomfirmed that toad her brother then yeah we should remove it untill someone finds poof. (To me they're are ether brother in sister or friend. Some fans think that they might be girlfriend and boyfriend.) Princess Grapes Butterfly 09:52, 22 November 2007 (EST)
I have proof. Her bio from the official Mario Kart Wii Strategy Guide says:
"Toad's sister has finally been granted permission to race by Princess Peach. She's so excited!"
So, she's Toad's sister!DarkMario Hamtaro PWNS|
- That guide has been very flaky on character bios. Daisy's entry claims that she is Peach's cousin, a claim that is unverified either way. Alter in the same paragraph it makes the mistake of saying that Mario and Luigi rescued her from Tatanga, when really it was just Mario. Likewise, in this bio we have the claim about Toad being her brother, unverified either way, and then a mistake: that she hadn't been allowed to race before. Mario Kart: Double Dash, her first appearance, she was allowed to race. Stumpers! 01:39, 14 June 2008 (EDT)
Well since the guide states that they're brother and sister right, but no game mention or states that their brother and sister. (So it might be offical or not. It only been mention in the MKWii Guide right?) Grapes
- I really think it's a non-issue. We should just say something to the extent of, "The Prima Mario Kart Wii guide asserted that Toad and Toadette were siblings. However, it also asserted that Toadette had not previously been allowed to race, when she previously raced in Mario Kart: Double Dash!!" And then we just leave it as that. Stumpers! 20:38, 2 October 2008 (EDT)
Well last time when first I met Mario then Toadette... I thought she was a girlfriend of Toad... I always search Mario characters on wikipedia and it says "Toad's Sister" as you can see... But we don't know what's real... Are you gonna believe the Toadette Fans or the Wikipedia?--Smarty-jamjam 20:40, 6 May 2009 (EDT)
I, actually, trust Wikipedia more than super-fans. At least Wikipedia has no bias. Toad85
According to a recent interview, Toadette and Toad are neither siblings nor in love. They're just adventure pals. http://www.gamespot.com/articles/nintendo-reveals-the-toads-gender-secret/1100-6423610/ --Oddball XP
Mario Party DS Cameo[edit]
When she is a host in Mario Party DS, is it even okay to talk of a "cameo" appearance? - Cobold (talk · contribs) 16:06, 28 November 2007 (EST)
- I'd side with you that she has a major role in the game. I'm pretty sure cameos are just like the video game appearance of Mario and Luigi's Parents or the second appearance of Geno. Stumpers! 19:22, 28 November 2007 (EST)
Um I think Toadette appearance in Mario party DS is NO cameo appearances. She appears more than once right? It sorta like a minor role. Princess Grapes Butterfly 20:29, 26 January 2008 (EST)
- Yes, that infomration should not be in the Cameos section. Paper Jorge ( Talk·Contributions)·
Mario Super Sluggers Bio[edit]
Can I add her Mario Super Sluggers stats and bio, plus collectible online card bio? Just wanted verification... Toad08
Her (rather short) existence.[edit]
So, has Toadette first appeared in Mario Kart: Double Dash? I thought she was existing way before the MK Double Dash outing, so when I first played it and unlocked her, I wasn't suprised that she had appeared. She's my fav character now!
Ms. Koopette(Contribs)Do theLuigi!!!
- Yep, she debuted in the Mario Kart: Double Dash game; and she's super cute. That's why I'm a fan of her too. :P --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! User Page | Talk Page 19:03, 9 March 2009 (EDT)
Toadette's Emblem[edit]
Could somebody please find a picture of Toadette's emblem (or symbol, as some people might prefer to call it)? And just WHY are all of my posts outlined with a blue dotted line!? - a very confused User:J-Yoshi64
- Because you put spaces before your comment, if you won't do it, outline won't appear. SWFlash
Toadette is a Sister[edit]
Toadette is actually Toad's sister. It says in the Mario Kart Wii info on her. It says it in bold. They are not boyfriend and girlfriend.
- Site Bio: "She might have more than a little in common with Toad, but don't think she won't slam him with a Red Shell if she gets half a chance!"
- Guide Bio: "Toad's sister has been granted permission to play from Princess Peach. She's so excited!"YoshiGo99
- It says that in the article it is unconfirmed. I think its real though. Supremo
- This is speculation. You can't be 99% sure on an issue and say there isn't any speculation: it's either 100% proven or it is speculative information. The site biography does not have any substantial information on this issue. In the guide biography, the passage referenced only states that Princess Peach has granted permission for Toad's sister to play and that the sister is excited. Although many can come to the conclusion that this is confirmation that Toadette is Toad's sister, it isn't, necessarily. Toad's sister, for all you know, could be an implied character that was granted permission by Princess Peach to play, but couldn't attend. You never know. Hence why we cannot acknowledge it as true fact. · SMB (Talk) · 23:11, 6 July 2011 (EDT)
- that was one book that said that she was his brother and if she was i think they would say that on here because mario kart is so easy i dont think very many people by a guide for it. The only proof that everyone has is that they are friends. I was told by other websites that Toadette was just to show that Toad was a guy. The only way for that to make sence is if Toadette's first apperarence was Mario kart wii. i dont thik the name in mario party 6 would be good if they are brother and sister (Shroom mates. and did you finish Mario kart i dont think the ending picture is a good one (Toadette winkes while she holds Toads hand).
It's been said that Toadette appeared last in Bowser's Inside Story[edit]
Somebody found her in that game
I never played Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, so I want to know if this is true.
Remembered Old Buddy 11:28, 25 February 2012 (EST)
There are female Toads that resemble Toadette, but not one of them are stated to being Toadette. Same can apply to Toad himself in this game.

== Team name with Toad in MP6? We need to say what the team name is for Toad and Toadette. I don't have MP6, so does anyone know what it is? YoshiDaisySSBM (talk)
Shroom mates Toad and Toadette for Mario party 6 so you can tell nintendo says that they are not brother and sister

File[edit]
Even though her artwork for Mario Party 8 is her latest artwork and also a solo artwork, why would we rather display the MP7 artwork? - Holy user in a talk page! (talk) 21:55, 24 September 2012 (EDT)
- Because in this case, we would mostly go after pictures in which the character in question faces the reader. The Mario Party 7 solo picture of Toadette fits that criteria, and it shows her personality overall, character wise. Hope that answers your question on that case. --M. C. - "Mario Gals" Fan! Mario Party DS[edit]
can someone please post here the scene from mario party ds in wich peach gives toadette touching trumpets or a table?because i searched on you tube and never found.
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pudim (talk).
- Just because something is said doesn't mean it has to have a scene. It's implied. LB (talk • edits • forum) 02:17, 31 March 2014 (EDT)
i'm sorry if i didn't know that it didn't have a scene.how would i know?next time be less rude with a person that makes errors.making mistakes is what all humans do.
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Pudim (talk).
- And to avoid confusion, it's written in the description of the trumpet and table figurines. MarioComix (talk) 18:40, 31 March 2014 (EDT)
Mario Kart 8[edit]
We can write that she is the normal ghost staff on Toad Harbor, and if there are rivals, then one of her rivals is Yoshi.
We could also write that she is the only unlockable character in the first introduced 12 at E3 2013 (Just some fun trivia??)
— The preceding unsigned comment was added by Michaelmarill (talk).
- Alright, I've added some of that info. I think it'd be better to add the rival information once more tests have been done to determine them. Also, next time, sign your comments. MarioComix (talk) 00:51, 7 June 2014 (EDT)
Infobox Art[edit]
Shouldn't the infobox art be the MP8 art since it is more recent?
Superfiremario 17:05, 29 October 2014 (EDT)
- No, because the MP7 art better represents Toadette's character. Overall, Toadette is not a panicky character who runs around, but a cheery girl and all. What else supports using the MP7 art is that when Toadette shows up on the eShop she uses that art, so it's a better profile art. MarioComix (talk) 21:57, 29 October 2014 (EDT)
I see. That makes sense. Thank you!

Genderless?[edit]
I know the source, but the quote itself says that Nintendo has not official decided a gender, but it also doesn't flat out confirm they are genderless. She may or may not be female but there is no confirmation. I suggest we not mention it as it doesn't actually confirm anything. This applies to all Toad articles.Toadbrigade5 (talk) 20:14, 17 November 2014 (EST)
I totally agree, the quote is ;
“This is maybe a little bit of a strange story, but we never really went out of our way to decide on the sex of these characters, even though they have somewhat gendered appearances,”, it never specifically says that she is genderless, it just say that they never though of it. Oyvey420 (talk) 20:31, 17 November 2014 (EST)
So if no one objects, then I'll just go ahead... Know what? I'l give half an hour, if someone onjects, its proposal time.Toadbrigade5 (talk) 20:43, 17 November 2014 (EST)
It doesn't make her genderless. In Japanese language, characters like Yoshi and Kirby (if I recall correctly) have ambiguous genders, but it's been localized to the masculine pronoun. It doesn't make them genderless per se, but... this is kind of hard to explain. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 23:10, 17 November 2014 (EST)
- Hey, I get you, but she is localized to american as a girl and we call Yoshi a boy, as well as the fact that the quote doesn't confirm anything. I don't think it should be taken into account. I was going to delete all content of it, but are you objecting, or what?Toadbrigade5 (talk) 00:35, 18 November 2014 (EST)
- The quote is basically saying Nintendo's opinion on Toad genders is "lol idk". It's worth mentioning their ambivalence on the Toad species article, but either way, it seems unnecessary to mention it here. (Otherwise, why not mention it on every other Toad character's page too, and that seems rather pointless and tedious). - Walkazo 00:41, 18 November 2014 (EST)
- Too be honest, I don't think its worth anything, but rather nintendo's way of provoking creativity. I say we remove all mention of it entirely.Toadbrigade5 (talk) 00:45, 18 November 2014 (EST)
- Whenever anyone likes it or not, we should document what Nintendo said and leave it to the reader. Mario-HOHO! (Talk / Stalk) 00:58, 18 November 2014 (EST)
- @Walkazo: idk, the Koopalings not being Bowser's kids is pretty much the same as this: they get mentioned in all articles. I say we mention this only in Toad and Toadette's articles (since they're pretty, uh, "mainstream" characters if you get my drift). @Toadbrigade: no I say the information is worth keeping somewhere. Ray Trace(T|C) 00:58, 18 November 2014 (EST)

Mario Party 10[edit]
Toadette is playable in Mario Party 10, as see from some screenshot of the game in the Japanese Amazon. Can someone put this information on the page?
Here's the reference: http://www.amazon.co.jp/任天堂-マリオパーティ10/dp/B00S66U7YE LudwigVon (talk)
- I saw that image, but it's currently impossible to say if that is a duel minigame between two human players, or if Toadette acts as an NPC that the human must beat (think of the solo DK Minigames from Mario Party 5-7). Until we see her in a free-for-all minigame with her own head icon, or on a board, let's not add her yet. MarioComix (talk) 21:02, 17 January 2015 (EST)

T.Ana Spanish (Paper Mario: A Thousand Year Door)[edit]
It is ACTUALLY a play on TIANA because the name TEANA is not a usual name.
Can somebody edit this and change it from Teana to Tiana.

Pronunciation[edit]
The name "Toadette" may have a spelling that is not phonetic enough, and it can cause mispronunciations. Please add a phonetic transcription for her name to this article.

Captain Toadette vs. Toadette (Explorer)[edit]
I always thought that Toadette (Explorer) was actually Captain Toadette. That was always confusing.--ShyGuy123 (talk) 08:21, February 3, 2021 (EST)
- If you're referring to Toadette in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker, she's just referred to as Toadette in both the British English and American English version. Mario Kart Tour has a naming convention for non-power-up variants, which is character name (variant name), so that name in Mario Kart Tour simply means that she's Toadette in a different attire (in this case, the one introduced in Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker).--Mister Wu (talk) 09:36, February 3, 2021 (EST)

Doesn't Toadette appear in the crowd at the end of the game? I'manumber1 (talk) 21:30, December 4, 2021 (EST)
- All the people at the end of the game are silhouettes so I don't know, but probably yea. Somethingone (talk) 21:38, December 4, 2021 (EST)
I actually meant the crowd during the final battle but if she does appear where you said so it should be added. I'manumber1 (talk) 10:09, December 5, 2021 (EST)
- She does according to the parade article. LinkTheLefty (talk) 10:28, December 5, 2021 (EST)
- She doesn't appear in the audience at all. Nightwicked Bowser 10:37, December 5, 2021 (EST)
Proof? I'manumber1 (talk) 12:26, December 5, 2021 (EST)
- I've played the game way more times than I can count and never seen her in it. I would like to know where you got that thought in the first place. Nightwicked Bowser 12:37, December 5, 2021 (EST)
- She does appear as a silhouette in the credits however, but since that applies to every unique character/enemy sprite in the game and is not mentioned for any of them, it's not noteworthy to mention it for Toadette either. Nightwicked Bowser 12:40, December 5, 2021 (EST)
- It doesn't seem to be every character (e.g. Peeka/Lahla?), but The Spriters Resource lacks audience sprites for Toadette. LinkTheLefty (talk) 13:10, December 5, 2021 (EST)
- That might be because they share the same sprite. Nightwicked Bowser 13:27, December 5, 2021 (EST)
- Parade article also mentions Tony/Vinny. LinkTheLefty (talk) 13:33, December 5, 2021 (EST)

The quote at the top of the page (also found in the Quotes section) is transcribed incorrectly. The actual quote is "I hope you achieve all your dreams!", without the word "can". (I can't edit the page to fix it myself since it's protected...) RoadrunnerWMC (talk) 03:30, October 6, 2023 (EDT)
Necessary split[edit]
I believe a split this page and History of Toadette would be wise considering the main characters have all got separate history articles! -User:Jude da Dude
