European releases[edit]

Despite this page citing a source that states this game had a MS-DOS release in January 1993, and a Mac release in June 1994. However, it seems on this poster that it states that this game saw a MS-DOS release on an unspecified date in 1992, and a Macintosh release in October 1993. Is there any other information further proving one of those releases dates to be the correct one for either?

- This is not a poster nor an ad, this is a page scan from a magazine (VideoGames & Computer Entertainment); it is from a "Video Game Previews" section, which means that it was written by the magasine's staff, not from the game makers. I think that the VG&CE editor based their 1992 release guess on the copyright year on the game's back cover. If we suppose that the game was released in January 1993 as suggested by the UPI article, it would make sense that the game was conceived in 1992 (whence the copyright date) before releasing in early 1993. Wikipedia also cites an article from Boston Herald published in January 3, 1993: "Computer Games 'Mario is Missing' finds educational niche", but I could not find a copy of it. But it is true that it would be nice to have more precise sources that would pinpoint the exact release date. Jdtendo(T|C) 03:52, September 26, 2024 (EDT)
