Super Luigi Bros.
- Not to be confused with Luigi Bros.
Super Luigi Bros. is a port of the original Super Mario Bros. included in NES Remix 2 and NES Remix Pack, albeit with some changes, much like the inclusion of Luigi Bros. (a port of Mario Bros.) in Super Mario 3D World. In this version, Luigi is the main playable character instead of Mario, functioning as he does in Super Mario Bros.: The Lost Levels (excluding the low traction), and all of the game's levels are mirrored (i.e., the player moves through levels from right to left). Players 1 and 2 have identical sprites. In addition, the game's ending is altered: Upon saving Princess Peach, Luigi finds that Mario is also with her, suggesting either that he already saved her first or that Luigi is saving both of them. Like in the original game, Hard Mode becomes available. Stamp 99 is awarded only after the player completes this mode and subsequently earns Bits in the main game. It is possible to execute the Minus World glitch in this version, but due to Luigi's higher jumps, it is harder to do so than in the original game.
The game is based on Remix I's sixteenth stage in the original NES Remix, which is a challenge featuring Luigi going through World 1-2 backwards. It marks the sixth and final game to celebrate The Year of Luigi and the only such game to be released in 2014.
