Spike is a character in Leaping Lizards. He is an armadillo who is a member of the Sneaks, who are competing in the International Mushroom Games. When Feldspar introduces each of the teams, he introduces the Sneaks as the "Snakes," and Spike taps him on the shoulder to correct him. During the Beetlebowl, Spike grabs a Hoopster from Lemmy Koopa's hands and replaces it with a rotten melon that contains a bomb. Spike lights its fuse, making the bomb explode in Lemmy's hands and cover him in smelly goo. Spike is mentioned in this event only if Mario, Luigi, and Princess Toadstool are chosen to dunk.
